Jayna k. shanefield
Born and raised in Honolulu, Jayna Kanani Kim Shanefield graduated from Punahou School in 1990 and Williams College in 1994 with a B.A. in English and Asian Studies. She worked as a budget analyst for the Hawaii Senate Committee on Ways and Means prior to attending law school. She graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 1999.
Jayna has worked as an Enforcement Attorney for the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission and as a part-time associate at Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert. She was a Case Notes Editor for the University of Hawai`i Law Review and co-authored several articles on discrimination, multi-racial justice and human rights.
She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is active in the Punahou PFA and has served on the Board of Directors for the Uluniu Swimming Club for more than a decade.
